Independent Advice for Directors – Before or After Liquidation
If you're considering closing your company – or you've already entered liquidation but feel unsure about the process – Director Care is here to support you. We offer independent, director-focused advice at every stage of company closure.
Our goal is simple: to help you make informed decisions, understand your responsibilities, and avoid further complications. Whether you need help before liquidation begins or a second opinion once it's underway, we’re here to provide clarity and guidance.
Already Appointed a Liquidator but Still Have Questions?
Some directors reach out to us after they’ve already appointed a liquidator because:
- They didn’t fully understand what they signed
- Communication has broken down
- They want a second opinion on the costs or process
We provide independent reviews and explanations – so you know exactly where you stand.
We don’t interfere with appointed insolvency practitioners, and we don’t try to take over cases.
We simply help you understand what’s happening and what your rights are.
Our Services
Director Care supports directors with:
Pre-Liquidation Guidance
We help you explore all closure options – including Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation (CVL), Members’ Voluntary Liquidation (MVL), and strike-offs – explaining the practical and legal differences between them.
Concern or Complaint Support
We can assist if you believe something hasn’t been handled clearly or fairly, and help you decide whether and how to raise your concerns.
Second Opinions & Clarification
If you're already in liquidation, we can review your documents and correspondence, and help you understand your responsibilities, costs, and next steps.
Director Liability Checks
We can walk you through potential personal risks – such as personal guarantees, overdrawn loan accounts, or bounce-back loans – and explain how they’re usually dealt with in liquidation.
